Having access to native mythologies, stories that connect us to our land, culture and language, enriches all our lives.
Ogma Games is making games based on Irish mythology that we would like to share with anyone with an interest in Neolithic, Bronze Age and pre-Celtic Ireland.
We want to bring the Irish language into our games where possible to allow people to experience our beautiful language in an accessible way and entertain with fresh stories, perspectives and landscapes.

Experience Irish Language
Irish is one of the oldest spoken languages that has survived with native speakers on the Irish coasts in the Gaeltachtaí.
It has struggled in the rest of the country after centuries of colonisation and suppression. A grass roots resurgence outside the gaeltacht by school-taught speakers is underway. Sharing the Irish language and making it accessible will inspire us all to improve our cúpla focail.
Ogham script, though a later invention, is also introduced in a planned mini-game.

Mug's Orb Demo
2D Action Runner Platformer in development commenced in 2024.
The first game to tie into the storyline as the Druid Mug Ruith from Valentia Island in County Kerry sends an enchanted orb to aid the champion and Sun God, Lúgh, in battle.
This will be an accessible, fun and challenging game for all with a one button play to jump and double jump to the finish line.
